Winter Scene - Winners!

Hello everyone!  I am back with a post to proclaim our winners from the Winter Scene challenge.

I used Random.org to find our winner out of 70 entries (64 on Mr. Linky and 6 email) who is non other than #37 - Debi - My bird flying free. Reach out to me Debi and I will tell you how to obtain your free Robyn's Fetish images (email address is in the upper right corner of this blog).

We had 70 fabulous Winter Scene entries this month!  They were all wonderful and I had a tough time narrowing down the field to just three for the Top-3 winners.

So, here they are in no particular order:

#61 Lada

# 10 Rosie

#56 Darlene

A BIG thank you to our sponsor this month - Robyn's Fetish

Congratulations everyone! I will see you all next Sunday for the 1st challenge in 2013.

Winter Scene - Email Entries

Today I have some amazing email entries from a mother and daughter team in Yorkshire.  Margaret and Dawn have entered in the past with email entries.

Dawn's cards:

"Winter Wishes" uses stamps designed by Lindsay Mason (Sally of Crafty Salutations used the same set for one of her design team cards).

"Santa Claus is coming to town" uses Clarity stamps.

Sorry, I don't know the make of the stamps I used on "Snowman and Santa" - but the snowman is created by washing away some of the ink and drawing in his hat, buttons, scarf, face etc - this is a technique demonstrated by Lindsay Mason.  I haven't quite mastered it yet (there should be trees too, but they're very indistinct which is why I've stamped a tree in the foreground!)

Margaret's cards:

“ A Chilly Day” used deers from Hobby Arts  and I think the trees-cape  was a Clarity stamp.

“Through the Window” was created using all Clarity stamps, the window having been stamped, I had to cut all the window panes out before colouring with promarkers, before mounting it over the background with dimensions.

“Winter Scene “used mainly Lindsay Mason stamps with the Fir tree from Clarity.

Thanks ladies!  Later I will announce the winners and next Sunday we will start the 1st challenge of 2013.

See you then,
NancyD

December Theme - Winter Scene

Your challenge this month is to create a "Winter Scene".  I know many of you designers out in blogland are creating wonderful winter and Christmas cards but I would like to remind you all that we are looking for a scene with background and foreground images in the scene.

Our sponsor this month is Robyn's Fetish.  Robyn sent us a few really great images to work with and our Design Team had a great time creating scenes for this challenge.  Many of us combined both  Robyn's digi image with other rubber stamps to make our scenes.

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More is proud to sponsor the Craft a Scene challenge. Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More, a division of I Did It Creations, was created and is owned by Robyn Weinrib. Robyn offers a wonderful variety of digital stamps and digital papers, designed to meet the needs of all digital paper crafting addicts for every occasion.
Robyn's Digital Stamps and More is happy to award the winner 5 digital stamps.
We are very excited to have Robyn's Fetish as our sponsor and I can't wait to show you how we used her beautiful images in our scenes.

Troubled Skies Winners!

Hello everyone!  I have an post to proclaim our winners from the Troubled Skies challenge.

This whole month I forgot to mention the prize for winning the challenge! I have another stamp from Sheena Douglas to offer the winner - A Little Bit of Festive Country Christmas.

I used Random.org to find our winner out of 18 entries (16 on Mr. Linky and 2 email) who is non other than #15. Colleen - Creative Paper Room.  Reach out to me Colleen with your address and I will send you the Sheena Douglas stamp.

With only 18 entries you would think selecting the top three would be easy, but it is not.  All of your entries had really great troubled sky scenes!

So, here are our top 3 picks in no particular order:

#14 Lada - My Cards

#18 Margaret - email entry

#7 Sue - Sue's Card Craft

I will be back tomorrow with the next challenge!
Have a great day!

Troubled Skies - email entries

Hi everyone!

I have a mid-week post to show you a couple of email entries for the Troubled Skies challenge.  These come from our friend Margaret in Yorkshire, who often joins our challenges but doesn't have a blog where she can attach her entries.

For Gale Force Wind, I used Clarity’s “Split Tree” stamp and a leaf stamp from Cart-Us.

I created the Lighthouse card using Adirondack ink pads in various colours with sponges.  The ships are Clarity’s “Galleon” stamp and the lighthouse is from Stamps Away.  As there was no land to stand it on, I used a wishing well stamp from Joanna Sheen’s Messy Rabbit Thatched Cottage Extra Bits set, inking up only the “roof” section to create a harbour wall.  I added the details of the foaming surf using a white gel pen.

These are super cards Margaret!  Since she doesn't have a blog you can leave her some love on this post.

If you don't have a blog, but would like to enter our challenges just email me your pictures and I will post them for you just as I have done for Margaret.

Have a great day!

Troubled Skies - Final Week

You can jump directly to mr. linky here.

We are entering the final week of our "Troubled Skies" theme for this month.  I see that number of entries is increasing.  Perhaps you don't have any cloud or lightening stamps.  Not to worry!  Swirling snow, darker than normal clouds and blowing leaves all demonstrate a troubled in the sky.

We have more wonderful scenes to inspire you this week from the design team.

Brenda - Floral Fantasies

So now that you have some fresh ideas, let's see what kind of sky you can come up with.  We only want to see finished stamped or digi scenes (no ATC's or unmounted work).  If you are not sure what constitutes a scenic project, check out the information here.

You may enter up to 3 times here and as many challenges as you wish.  If you do not have a blog or account on Split Coast Stampers, then just email me a picture of the piece and I will add it to one of our posts.
