Troubled Skies - email entries

Hi everyone!

I have a mid-week post to show you a couple of email entries for the Troubled Skies challenge.  These come from our friend Margaret in Yorkshire, who often joins our challenges but doesn't have a blog where she can attach her entries.

For Gale Force Wind, I used Clarity’s “Split Tree” stamp and a leaf stamp from Cart-Us.

I created the Lighthouse card using Adirondack ink pads in various colours with sponges.  The ships are Clarity’s “Galleon” stamp and the lighthouse is from Stamps Away.  As there was no land to stand it on, I used a wishing well stamp from Joanna Sheen’s Messy Rabbit Thatched Cottage Extra Bits set, inking up only the “roof” section to create a harbour wall.  I added the details of the foaming surf using a white gel pen.

These are super cards Margaret!  Since she doesn't have a blog you can leave her some love on this post.

If you don't have a blog, but would like to enter our challenges just email me your pictures and I will post them for you just as I have done for Margaret.

Have a great day!

Troubled Skies - Final Week

You can jump directly to mr. linky here.

We are entering the final week of our "Troubled Skies" theme for this month.  I see that number of entries is increasing.  Perhaps you don't have any cloud or lightening stamps.  Not to worry!  Swirling snow, darker than normal clouds and blowing leaves all demonstrate a troubled in the sky.

We have more wonderful scenes to inspire you this week from the design team.

Brenda - Floral Fantasies

So now that you have some fresh ideas, let's see what kind of sky you can come up with.  We only want to see finished stamped or digi scenes (no ATC's or unmounted work).  If you are not sure what constitutes a scenic project, check out the information here.

You may enter up to 3 times here and as many challenges as you wish.  If you do not have a blog or account on Split Coast Stampers, then just email me a picture of the piece and I will add it to one of our posts.

Don't forget to add GDT to your link if you wish to be considered for a guest spot.

Troubled Skies - Week 3

You can jump directly to mr. linky here.

We are entering our third week of our "Troubled Skies" theme for this month.  I see that number of entries is increasing.  Perhaps you don't have any cloud or lightening stamps.  Not to worry!  Swirling snow, darker than normal clouds and blowing leaves all demonstrate a troubled in the sky.

We have three more wonderful scenes to inspire you this week from the design team.

Anna-Karin - Layers of Ink

Nadia - Scrap Affair

The link to entry #5 is not working. I am including Stephanie's card here so you can see it better.  Please feel free to leave any comments for Stephanie on this post so that she can "feel the love".

So now that you have some fresh ideas, let's see what kind of sky you can come up with.  We only want to see finished stamped or digi scenes (no ATC's or unmounted work).  If you are not sure what constitutes a scenic project, check out the information here.

Troubled Skies - Week 2

We are continuing our "Troubled Skies" theme for this month.  I see that we only have a few entries, but that is okay.  Perhaps you don't have any cloud or lightening stamps.  Not to worry!  Swirling snow, darker than normal clouds and blowing leaves all demonstrate a troubled in the sky.

We have three more wonderful scenes to inspire you this week from the design team.

Brenda - Floral Fantasies

Nadia - Scrap Affair

Maggie - Silver Crafter

So now that you have some fresh ideas, let's see what kind of sky you can come up with.  We only want to see finished stamped or digi scenes (no ATC's or unmounted work).  If you are not sure what constitutes a scenic project, check out the information here.

November Theme - Troubled Skies

Our theme for the month of November is "Troubled Skies".  We want to see all kinds of finished creations with a focus on the kind of dark and wintry sky you would normally see in November.  For some of us this is even the start of snow season.

The design team has made some incredible creations to share with you, prepare to be amazed!

Anna-Karin - Layers of Ink

Brenda - Floral Fantasies

Nadia - Scrap Affair

Maggie - Silver Crafter

Troubled Skies is the theme so let's see what kind of sky you can come up with.  We only want to see finished stamped or digi scenes (no ATC's or unmounted work).  If you are not sure what constitutes a scenic project, check out the information here.

October Majestic Mountain Winners

Hello everyone!  I have an post to proclaim our winners from the Trees, Trees, Trees challenge and to introduce you to one of our new team mates, Dora.

I used Random.org to find our winner out of 20 entries (18 on Mr. Linky and 2 email) who is non other than 10. Bonnie aka raduse.  Reach out to me Bonnie with your address and we will send you the Sheena Douglas stamp.

With only 20 entries the top three were a little easier to choose (only because of reduced volume). Nearly all the entries had really great mountains that could be considered "Majestic".

So, here are our top 3 picks for Majestic Mountains challenge (in no particular order):

#7 Paula-Kay - Creative Stamping with Paula-Kay

#9 Rosie - Rosie's Bastelwelt
Rosie had three really great entries.  It was difficult to choose just one of them for the challenge.

#14 Deanna - Up the Creative Creek

Thank you to everyone who participated this month.  It was a fun challenge to come up with something truly majestic.

See you in a few minutes with the new theme for November.
