Fowl Weather Challenge - Week 4

Ooops! I forgot to set this post up before I went off to church this morning.

This month our theme is "Fowl Weather". This means you should create a scene that shows a bit of stormy weather (any kind from light rain to full-on tornado) and just to make it more fun please include birds in your scene - hence the name "Fowl Weather".

I have an amazing design team who is very creative and has wonderful inspiration to guide you through the theme.

OK, so now you have an idea of what to do with the theme "Fowl Weather".  You may enter up to 3 times and as many challenges as you wish. If you do not have a blog or account on Split Coast Stampers, then just email me a picture of the piece and I will add it to one of our posts.

If you are not sure what constitutes a scenic project, check out the information here.

Don't forget to add GDT to your link if you wish to be considered for a guest spot.

Have fun creating!

Fowl Weather Challenge - Week 3

This month our theme is "Fowl Weather". This means you should create a scene that shows a bit of stormy weather (any kind from light rain to full-on tornado) and just to make it more fun please include birds in your scene - hence the name "Fowl Weather".

We have email entries from our two friends from England......

Margaret

Margaret from Yorkshire England here with my entry for the October Challenge.   For this card I sponged on Adirondack ink in various shades of blue and created a hint of the moon by painting with water and dabbing with a paper towel, removing some of the colour.  The stamps I used were from Lindsay Mason, apart from the robin and small trees, which were Clarity stamps. I used cut and dry and eggplant to edge the picture and the snow was created with a white Pen-touch pen.  Hope you like it.

Here are the design team inspirational cards.....

Fowl Weather Challenge - Week 2

This month our theme is "Fowl Weather". This means you should create a scene that shows a bit of stormy weather (any kind from light rain to full-on tornado) and just to make it more fun please include birds in your scene - hence the name "Fowl Weather".

Your background and foreground images should be stamped or digi'd onto the paper to make a scene.  After the stamped scene is laid you may add dimensional aspects (this is a special note to all the card makers who build a scene with paper instead of stamped images).

We have two very stormy cards to share as inspiration this week.

Craft a Scene Challenge - Fowl Weather

The weather in my part of the country (Pacific Northwest) has been frightful!  We have had thunder, lightening, torrential rains, and flooding.  With all this stormy I thought it would be a good idea to have a "Fowl Weather" challenge.

This means you should create a scene that shows a bit of stormy weather (any kind from light rain to full-on tornado) and just to make it more fun please include birds in your scene - hence the name "Fowl Weather".

Dusk to Dawn Challenge Winners

Hello everyone, I have our "Dusk to Dawn" winner and our top 3 for September.  We had 30 blog entries and 2 great email entries this month.

I always use Random.org first to find the winner of our prize so that I don't also call them a Top 3 winner. This time #31 Margaret from Yorkshire - an email entry.

Reach out to me Margaret with your mailing address and I will send out your stamp.

When we review all the great entries each month for the Top 3 we are looking for finished projects (cards, bookmarks, framed art, etc), and scenes that are stamped or digi'd with all the scenic elements mentioned in our rules.  They we all really great this month (they usually are) and I am trying not to pick the same ones each month too.

Our Top 3 this month are:

7. Susan Shuler

 25. Carla Aerts

Congratulations to all!  I will be back in a few minutes with our next challenge.
