Inside the Garden - Final Week!

This is the last week of our "Inside the Garden" challenge so if you are planning to enter for the Heartfelt Creations certificate you have limited time remaining.

A little about Heartfelt Creations:

Heartfelt Creations provides a unique line of artistic stamps, detailed dies and designer papers. Many of our stamps coordinate with our exclusive Spellbinders™ dies. The innovation of our stamps paired with matching dies offers a whole new dimension of possibilities and quickly adds eye-popping 3D depth to any project. Our designer papers are designed to coordinate with our product collections adding the perfect complement to any Heartfelt Creations stamp or die.

The design team has a couple of cards for you today as your final inspiration.

I used stamps from Stampscapes and Beeswax and stamped on Cyrogen cardstock . I colored the foreground image with Copics and the background mountain and tress with PanPastels.  You can see all the details and more pictures at Crafting Passions.

Nadia from Scrap Affair used a mixture of all kinds of stamps including the house from Hobby Art, bunny from Stampin Up and tree from Stampscapes. The images are colored with Distress Inks and Copics.  There is antique gold glitter on the edge of the picture and the berries were made of acrylic granules melted in the oven.

So let's see your wonderful creation added to the challenge!  You may enter up to 3 times and as many challenges as you wish.  Click here to enter the challenge.  If you do not have a blog or account on Split Coast Stampers, then just email me a picture of the piece and I will add it to one of our posts.   If you are interested in a GDT spot just add GDT to your name as you link your project.

I will be back on Saturday with the winners for the month of July!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Sunday!!

News and Sharing

Karen
Wallace
Hello to all my scenic stamping friends!  Nancy here to tell you about the fun I am having this week in Savanna, Illinois.  I was invited by Karen Wallace from Stampscapes II Yahoo group to attend her annual scenic stamping get together in her home town of Savanna.

There are about 20 of us meeting in the Methodist church building stamping our hearts out.  Everyone is sharing techniques and tips that I will be sharing with you over the course of the week. So far I have made four scenes and learned how to use a brayer!!

Trish is a fellow
Canadian stamper
Karen has loads and loads of stamps from Stampscapes, Sutter, Beeswax, Art Impressions, etc, that she is sharing with us all.  There will be door prizes from Sutter and others.  We even have a stamping store rep from Peddlers Den with a few supplies to purchase.

Besides being able to meet all the wonderful ladies whose work I have so admired over the last year or more, I will also be able to meet - in person - Kevin Nakagawa, Mr. Stampscapes himself!!!  This is just too much for me to handle!!

Mirjam came all the way from the Netherlands!
So this post has just been a teaser 'cause I wanted to tell you what was happening and introduce the pictures of some of the ladies at this stamping gig.

Tomorrow I will be back to show you some of the work and share a few tips.

Scenic Stamps

My post today is to tell you a little bit about stamping companies that make scenic stamps. When I was first introduced to scenic stamping there were only a few stamps from A Stamp In The Hand (designed by Kevin).  Then my mom and I found Art Impressions. We fell in love with their sectional seascape pieces and their "front n back" stamps.  Kevin started his Stampscapes company in the early 90's and really made the scenic stamping art what it is today.

Since then, many more companies have designed a line of scenic stamps for us to enjoy.  The design team has suggested a number of companies that I placed on a new tab at the top of the blog called "Scenic Stamps".  In there you will find a link to their stamping store, their logo and a little bit about what they offer.  I will continue to add companies as I find them.  If you know of any, please email me and I will happily add them to the list for all of us to enjoy.

I couldn't help checking out all those companies that were new to me and of course I had to buy some new stamps.  Here is a card that I made this week using my new stamps from Beeswax and Sutter Stamps.

Hop over to Crafting Passions to find our how I made this card and what stamps I used.

There is still time to enter our challenge this month.  You may link up your card or project by 6:00 PM Friday, Pacific Time.  The winner and top 3 will be announced with our post on Sunday, Jan 29th.

Thanks for stopping by.  Don't forget to check out all the great stamp companies in the new tab - Scenic Stamps.
